There
Are Two Ways Student CDL Drivers
Can Get A Class A CDL License .....
Deciding upon the
right cdl paid training
program or a cdl
training school to get your truck driver training
could well be the major factor in whether or not you will
have a successful truck driving career. The choice you
make will determine the quality of education you receive and
the amount of money you spend to get that education.
It's an important
advantage at this early stage to work with an industry professional;
an expert who is a cdl Class A truck driving career advisor
and an employment specialist - before you make any decisions.
That's who we are and what do we do - we work one-on
one with you to help you begin and establish a successful
professional truck driving career. There is never a fee
for our services.
Trucking Careers of
America partners with more than (30) trucking companies nationwide,
including trucking companies that offer a CDL
paid training program. We are also consultants to
many CDL truck driving
schools, many of which offer WIA grants (Workforce
Investment Act) and other federal or state grants. It's important
to understand the basic differences between these two types
of training and how it affects you. There is never a fee
for our services.

"James, I would like to
thank-you once again for the help you gave to my husband and
I. Your advice and help was right on the money. When we arrived
at the trucking school,
it was just like you said, so many people came without the
right paperwork, and didn't know what to expect ...... so
many people had to leave class due to Issues you went over
with us. School is just like you told us and we're well prepared.
A lot of truckers have told us that we have the most honest
recruiter they ever heard of. So thanks again for all of your
help, and patience. I hate to think of the trouble we may
have had without you getting us ready for this challenging
new career. Thank-you,"

CDL
Company Paid Training Program
There will always
be a large turnover in the trucking industry .... one reason
is that cdl training is big
business and many trucking companies and training schools
are motivated primarily by financial gain. It's important
to do your research thoroughly, and avoid being attracted
to the big name carriers or schools that are so well known
but not necessarily operating with the best business practices.
The majority of trucking
companies that are most well known for paid cdl training or
company sponsored training are what we call 'starter companies'.
Many of these companies are also well known for aggressively
soliciting and hiring recent
student graduates. Unfortunately, many of these companies:
- dispatch poor miles and pay
a low cents-per-mile rate
- cut your miles down so far until
you have no choice but to quit
- force a turnover of drivers
in order to maintain a driver pool of cheap labor
- continually turn over newly
hired, lower pay drivers to receive Government subsidies
How
Do These Companies Keep Getting Away With This...
The answer is simple...this
is how trucking works and it will always be this way - because
companies that practice these tactics have no incentive to
change ! This is how they operate and how they have
their business model set up. They have no concern if the driver
quits because there are always many more students waiting
in line, and government subsidies can play a major role.
TCA
Works With The 'Good Trucking Companies'
TCA partners with
the 'good trucking companies'; reputable and select trucking
companies that offer an excellent company paid CDL training
program or a company sponsored CDL training program. This
means that you are hired by a trucking company and trained
by that trucking company.
Both
your transportation to the training facility and your housing
while you are in training is paid for by the company. Student
training lasts for (3) weeks, and when you have completed
all the requirements you go on the company payroll with top
pay - mid to upper $30Ks in your first year, and:
-
driving
quality equipment with no
touch cargo
-
minimal
stops
-
good
home time
-
full
benefits after 90 days
-
retirement
plan after 90 days
It's important
to know what a trucking company requires when they are paying
for your training:
