Choosing the Right CDL Driver Training School -The
choice you make will determine the quality of education you receive and the
amount of money you spend to get that education When
we b egan
Trucking Careers of America a little over 10 years ago, our business philosophy
was then and continues to be to represent the best interests of otr truck drivers,
both as career advisors and job placement specialists. Our mission from the first
day was to help CDL Class A drivers become successful and not a statistic. It
took time and a lot of hard work to weed through the good, the bad and the ugly
but it's been a very worthwhile journey. With
this in mind, over the years we have had the pleasure of developing an excellent
relationship with many cdl training schools throughout the country; schools that
operate their business in an honorable and professional manner and want to educate
and train drivers for a successful career. We have displayed graphics of just
a few of our approved schools on this page. Like
'bad trucking companies', there are 'bad cdl training schools' that in reality
are businesses posing as training schools. CDL training is big business and making
the wrong decision has caused many drivers to see their career come to an end
before it even began. These schools are known for:
charging
an inflated tuition and/or high interest rate on financing accepting
tuition from a student knowing that the student will not qualify to be hired by
any company upon graduation promising
quick training that is unrealistic and is not up to industry standards promising
a quality education and delivering an education that is not up to industry standards promising
job placement but cannot deliver
 TCA
works closely with a number of accredited CDL training schools that are reputable,
and highly regarded. Many accept WIA
Grants and other types of federal or state grants. Classes are small so students
receive more individual attention.

Here
is a portion of a letter from several Trainco CDL Schools that is given to their
students: "Trainco
students, The gentleman
cited above - James McCormack - is a longtime professional career counselor for
truck drivers. We enjoy our alliance with this older gent, who works very hard
to see that our enrollees understand the ins and outs of the industry. He is a
straight shooter who does not hesitate to share the truth about the highs and
lows of particular trucking companies. Jim's and Trainco's desire is to make sure
YOU get in with just the right company and that you are pleased to be there for
at least that first, and all-important, year of driving. More than likely, we
will have you contact James right off the bat. You will find his direction and
expertise useful in filling out applications and setting up interviews with companies
we think best match your needs and background." Blackie

(3) weeks of training and graduation, you are eligible for hire. Attending a CDL
training school has advantages
over getting your CDL license through a company
paid training program because of the following: Once
you are hired by a trucking company, the hiring company will pay up to $150 per
month towards the cost of training through a tuition reimbursement agreement.
. When
we recommend one of these schools we are confident that you will receive excellent
training and be well prepared for your career in the trucking industry. If you
are interested in attending a cdl driver training school please contact us by
phone or e-mail.
